Lake Berryessa is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts across California. The lake is well stocked with a variety of fish species, providing plenty of opportunities for anglers to land a prize catch. The lake also has an abundance of coves, inlets and other sheltered areas, creating ideal conditions for both boat and shore fishing.

The most common species caught at Lake Berryessa include bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill, trout and salmon. Bass are the most sought after species here, and the lake is known for its big population of large-mouth bass.

Fishermen can also find largemouth bass in the deeper parts of the lake. Catfish are abundant in the shallows as well as in deeper waters. Crappie can be found throughout the lake and are especially plentiful during spring spawning season.
