How Much Does It Cost to Go Fishing at Lake Hemet?

For many, fishing is a great way to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Lake Hemet, located in Southern California, is one of the many popular fishing spots in the area.

Fishing at Lake Hemet can be done year round and offers a wide variety of fish species.

Anglers can expect to catch largemouth bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, rainbow trout and more. The lake also offers excellent boating opportunities with over 200 acres of lake surface to enjoy.

The cost to go fishing at Lake Hemet depends on a few factors such as whether you’re fishing from shore or from a boat and if you plan on renting a boat or bringing your own vessel.

If you plan on fishing from shore, there is no cost for access to the lake. However, you will need to purchase a valid California freshwater fishing license which can be obtained online or from any local tackle shop for $15 (residents) or $46 (non-residents).

If you plan on bringing your own boat, there is an annual launch permit fee of $50 that must be purchased before using the lake. This permit allows up to three boats per household and provides access during normal park hours.
