How Do You Make a Fishing Pole Tube?

Making a fishing pole tube is a great way to store your fishing rods without taking up too much space. Not only will you be able to store your rods, but you will also be able to keep them organized and protected from damage. It’s not hard to make a fishing pole tube – all you need is some basic supplies and tools.

Tools Needed:

  • Hacksaw
  • Tape measure or ruler
  • Pencil or marker
  • Utility knife

Supplies Needed:

  • PVC pipe – 4-inch diameter, 8-foot length
  • PVC cap – 4-inch diameter, threaded end


1) Measure and mark the PVC pipe with the pencil or marker.

Cut the pipe into two 4-foot lengths using the hacksaw.

2) Insert one end of one of the pieces of pipe into one end of the other piece of pipe, creating a “T” shape.

3) Insert the threaded PVC cap into one end of the “T” shaped pipe, creating an open circle.

4) Place your fishing poles in the tube and secure with a bungee cord (optional).
