How Do You Hang a Fishing Pole on the Wall?

Hanging a fishing pole on the wall is an excellent way to store your gear when not in use. Not only does it keep your rod safe and secure, but it can also add a great touch of decoration to any room, garage, or shed. It’s surprisingly simple to install a fishing rod holder on the wall and can be done in just a couple of steps.

Prepare Your Wall

Before getting started, it’s important to make sure that the wall you’re planning to hang your rod on is strong enough to support the weight. If you’re hanging a heavy rod, you may need to use anchor screws or toggle bolts for added stability. If you’re using drywall, make sure there are studs behind it for extra support.

Gather Your Supplies

Once you’ve chosen where you want to hang your rod and determined that the wall can support it, you’ll need to gather some supplies. You’ll need a drill or screwdriver, screws or nails (depending on what type of wall you have), and a fishing rod holder. Make sure that the holder is designed for outdoor use if you plan on storing your rod outside.

Install The Fishing Rod Holder

Next, mark where you want the holder placed and then carefully drill pilot holes into the wall at those points. Then install the screws into the pilot holes and securely attach the fishing rod holder to the wall. Make sure all of your screws are tightly secured so that your pole won’t wobble when attached.

Hang The Fishing Pole

Once everything is installed correctly and securely, grab your fishing pole and hang it from one of the holders. Make sure that all of your equipment is properly secured before leaving it unattended.

Hanging a fishing pole on the wall may seem like a daunting task, but with some basic tools and supplies it’s actually quite easy! All that’s required is preparing your wall for installation, gathering supplies, installing the fishing rod holder securely onto the wall, and then hanging up your pole. With just these few steps in mind, anyone can easily learn how to hang their own fishing pole!
